Let’s face it. Building a paradise is a complicated matter that not only involves the whims of Mother Nature, but also the individual needs of the contractors that do the installation. Misunderstandings can wreak havoc on even the best designs. In our projects, all of the contractors who work on your site must agree to guidelines detailed in a manual that states the requirements for your specific project. You also will receive this manual so that you will know what to expect of the people working on your job as well as what you can do to enhance your enjoyment of this process.

Our Design Process

1) Schedule an Initial Consultation

We prefer to meet you in person at your site so we can walk around your property together, look at our portfolio and any pictures you’ve gathered to understand your likes or dislikes, and spend an hour or two talking about your ideas. It is most effective if all of the family members who are interested in this project are at this meeting.

2) Think About Your Likes and Dislikes

Browse through garden books and magazines, reminisce about some of your favorite childhood outdoor experiences, dream of your favorite places to vacation. These are great places to start when thinking about your vision for your project. Even recognizing elements that you don’t like can spark some creative ideas.

Talk over your thoughts and hopes with other family members. Think of how you want to use the space as well as how you want it to look. Keep and open mind and be flexible. You might be amazed by the additional possibilities that never occurred to you.

Don’t worry if you don’t have time to do this before we meet or if you need more help to define your wants and needs. We’ll discuss these things during our initial meeting.
